Wang Yi returns as China's foreign minister

Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China and a former head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission, has become China's new foreign minister. He replaced Qin Gang in this position. This is reported by the “Xinhua” news agency.

Wang Yi's appointment was approved at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC). This is not the first time Wang Yi has become Chinese Foreign Minister - he already held this position from 2013 to 2022.
