Weightlifter Yulduz Jumabayeva received a Lexus LX570 Sport Plus car from the President of Turkmenistan

22-year-old weightlifter, student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Yulduz Jumabayeva was awarded the medal “For Love of the Motherland”, she was also awarded a Lexus LX 570 Sport Plus car. The relevant Decree and Order was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today, the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.

Our compatriot was awarded such high awards from the head of state “for a great personal contribution to strengthening the independence of Turkmenistan, the development of high-performance sports in the country, as well as taking into account the great successes in sports, services to the state,” the presidential decree says.

Recall that in January this year, the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) recognized the Turkmen athlete Yulduz Jumabayeva as the winner of the 2018 World Championship among women in the weight category up to 45 kg.

Initially, Tunya Sukcharoen from Thailand won gold in this weight category. Later, the Thai athlete was disqualified and deprived of a medal for violating anti-doping rules, which became known after rechecking the samples of athletes who performed at the 2018 World Cup in Ashgabat.
