What measures can be taken for violation of the mask regime

It seems, protective masks have entered the life of residents of Turkmenistan as well as in the lives of people across the world for a long time. Virologists believe that people will have to learn to live with a medical protective mask. At least, while a reliable vaccine in not invented by scientists.

Under the order of the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on August 18, as anti-epidemiological sanitary measure, the country made the wearing of face masks compulsory for the population (except preschool children).

Up to this point, everything is more or less clear, if you violate the mask regime, you endanger yourself and those around you to “catch” an infectious disease. Questions arise with the implementation of this regime.

Often on the street, you can see the violators people without masks. Some especially “skilful” troublemakers cover only their mouths with a mask, opening their nose, or even pull it down on their chin. They seem to be wearing a mask and not breaking rules.

Nothing of the kind, wearing a medical mask improper way is the same as not wearing it.Police have been seen stopping people with no mask.Sometimes such meetings are short as the police just gives a warning to wear a mask, the violator wears a mask, and they leave.

While sometimes, such “warning talks’ take quite a long time.

In this regard, the ORIENT has been interested in learning what measures a police officer can take in relation to a violator of the mask regime.

The editorial board has managed to find out that the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ensuring public order and safety, regarding a violator of the mask regime, are allowed to give him a warning as a first time action.

In case of re-violation of the mask regime, the offender liable for administrative responsibility in accordance with Part 1, Article 78 of the Code of Administrative Violations. Thus, “violation of the sanitary legislation of Turkmenistan, including sanitary and hygienic norms and rules, failure to comply with sanitary and antiepidemiological (preventive) and sanitary and hygienic measures, if such a violation has led to a sanitary offense, shall impose a fine of up to five times the basic amount”, the law reads.

It makes 500 manat.

As you can see, the amount is rather sizeable. As the editorial office has been informed, currently, violators of the mask regime are fined for 21 manats. Here is it would be reasonable to thanks the police for such an economical fine as 21 manat is not 500 manat.

As to those who do not wear a mask and risk themselves to infectious and financial danger, we would like to strongly advise comply with the law and wear protective masks. It is good for both your budget and your health.
