World Hindi Day was celebrated in Ashgabat

A solemn event dedicated to World Hindi Day was held at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, reports the IIC.

Students of the institute, in the presence of the guest of honor, the Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair, performed songs and dances, and recited poetry in Hindi.

The purpose of the event was to strengthen cultural ties between Turkmenistan and India. Students studying Hindi at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages demonstrated their language skills by reciting the poems of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi translated into Hindi.

At the end of the event, the students who performed on stage were awarded with memorable gifts. The holiday served as another step towards strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and India in the humanitarian sphere.
