It is offered to buy tickets immediately for both the train and other modes of transport only on those directions that cannot be reached by train alone.
In 2020, Russian Railways launched a multimodal route builder that includes long-distance travel by all modes of transport, not just by train. Currently, on the Russian Railways website, you can purchase a ticket immediately for all modes of transport necessary to get to your destination. All of this will be done in one purchase.
“On the Russian Railways website, passengers can now choose the best route for travel using various modes of transport. The whole trip is made within the framework of one order. The scheme for building multimodal routes is very flexible, it allows the passenger to model the journey himself,” - explained Russian Railways representatives.
