Young chess player from Turkmenistan wins bronze at the West Asian Championship in Kyrgyzstan

On the coast of Issyk-Kul in the city of Korumdu (Kyrgyzstan), the West Asian Youth Chess Championship among chess players under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years old has ended.

Turkmen athletes won one medal in classical chess. Begli Annagylyjov won the bronze medal in the under 6 category with 7 points.

Gold in this age group went to Kazakhstani Madi Mazhitov, he scored 8 points. Silver went to his compatriot Sanjar Rakhymtay (7.5).

It should be noted that more than 280 players from Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and players under the flag of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) took part in the competition.
