Young SDG Ambassadors from Turkmenistan took part in COY18 in Dubai

Young Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals from Turkmenistan took part in the 18th UN Youth Conference on Climate Change (COY18), which was held in Dubai from November 26 to 28.

The youth forum was traditionally held on the eve of the annual Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which starts on November 30 in Dubai.

COY18 brought together over a thousand young people from around the world to discuss international climate policy. This year's conference focused on three main areas: policy documents, capacity building and professional development workshops.

In his message to youth, UN Secretary-General António Guterres noted that young people are at the forefront of leading efforts to achieve climate justice.

Interactive events, seminars, and discussions were organized as part of the forum.

The forum adopted a Global Youth Statement, uniting proposals in the field of collective climate policy, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
