All people are looking forward to the official opening ceremony of V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games on 17th of September in Ashgabat.In the meantime, the competitions of the Games have already started; they were opened by jujitsu contests.
It brought the first gold medal to Turkmenistan team.The medal was won by athletes Jelilmuhammed Hojamuradov and Murad Gimmiyev in jujitsu men’s duo classic.Meanwhile, our compatriots Patma Hojayeva and Jahan Durdyyeva won the silver on jujitsu women’s duo show.
These first awards were a good beginning in medal count where Turkmenistan is on the leading position!There are promising perspectives in traditional wrestling, which competitions have also already been started and where our sportsmen are expected to show good results.
