The President of Turkmenistan received Heads of French companies CIFAL Gilles Rémy and VINCI Construction Grands Projets Alain Bonnot.Having presented the Head of the State with book “Turkmenistan the Heart of the Great Silk Road” translated into French language, the managers of the companies noted that the work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gives opportunity to their compatriots to get acquainted with national and cultural originality, traditions, customs and life attitude of Turkmen nation, its input to the world scientific, economic and cultural progress.
Gilles Rémy, who is also the Head of the French - Turkmenistan Commerce Chamber, has mentioned that his country highly appreciated the work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which allows assessing the importance of historical role of Turkmenistan in establishment of ancient trade routes as well as in the development of the region in modern age.
During the meeting, the guests noted keen interest of their companies in the strengthening of the positions in perspective Turkmen market and continuation of productive partnership, which is built on the principles of trust and mutual benefit.
Having expressed the gratitude for warm words, the Head of the State highlighted that following the course of industrialization and fundamental modernization of national economy, our country follows the strategy of further expansion of foreign relations.
Special attention in this context is paid to the use of advanced foreign practice in architecture and construction.At the same time, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated with delaight that French companies CIFAL and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, which are the leaders in international construction market, take active part in large-scale urban construction programme in the country for many years.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged their visions of perspectives of cooperation taking into account gained experience of joint work.Noting the efficiency of many years of fruitful partnership and colossal potential for its further development, the guests highlighted that such productive collaboration became possible owing to foreign course, which is oriented to the expansion of cooperation with European Union countries, pursued by Turkmen leader.
Fuel and energy complex, transport infrastructure and construction have been outlined among the main directions of development of business relations.Having confirmed the intent to take part in implementation of national and regional projects, the businessmen made number of certain proposals.
Having stated with delight the interest of French partners in cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that broad perspectives are opened taking into account large-scale projects and programmes.It includes the modernization of production and transport infrastructure as well as urban construction sphere, Turkmen leader continued, having focused on the provision of quality and compliance to the timeline of works.
