On 30 August the President of Turkmenistan met with CEOs of French companies CIFAL Gilles Rémy and VINCI Construction Grands Projets Alain Bonnot.
According to the state information agency TDH, they presented President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov with the French translation of the book “Turkmenistan, the Heart of the Great Silk Road” and emphasized that the writing provides their fellow countrymen with the opportunity to get familiar with the ethnic and cultural identity of the Turkmen people.
In the course of the meeting the guests expressed profound interest of the companies they represent in strengthening the positions in the Turkmen market and continuing efficient partnership.
Fuel and energy complex, transportation infrastructure and construction are among the priority areas for developing business contacts.
Cifal has been working with Turkmenistan since 1993 and the company’s CEO Gilles Rémy holds regular meetings with President Berdymukhammedov. Throughout this time, the company helped France-based Bouygues, Thomson/Thales, Elf/Total, Vinci and others to enter the Turkmen market.
It should be mentioned that during Saparmurat Niyazov’s presidency representatives of foreign companies had translated “Ruknama” to various world languages to carry out projects in Turkmenistan.
