A forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU will be held in Ashgabat

The forum “30 years of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union: working together for the future” will be held in Ashgabat on May 14.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on this at a Government meeting on Friday.

The forum provides for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the State Concern “Turkmengaz” and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on the implementation of the project “Measures and political dialogue to combat climate change in 20242028”.

Issues related to the development of inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the EU, interaction in the field of security, trade, education, “green” energy, and the implementation of programs in these areas will be discussed at thematic sessions.

It is also planned to organize a press conference to introduce new projects that will be implemented jointly with the European Union.

On the same day, an exhibition dedicated to the activities of the European Union in the country is planned in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
