A meeting with students on the occasion of the celebration of International Mother Earth Day was held yesterday in the building of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was jointly organized by UNDP and UNICEF in Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, topics such as the role of the younger generation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and combating the climate crisis, climate education, creating more sustainable cities, smart consumption and waste management were discussed.
The meeting was organized as part of a series of Educational sessions #TurkmenYouth4SDGs launched by UNDP in Turkmenistan together with the IIR of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to involve the country's student youth in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
