A monument to a medieval Tajik poet will be erected in Ashgabat

A monument to the medieval Tajik poet Saido Nasafi Mirobid will be erected in the capital of Turkmenistan.

As TDH reports, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said this at a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as part of an official two-day visit to Dushanbe.

“As Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, the Magtymguly Fragi Cultural and Park Complex is currently being built in the southern part of the city of Ashgabat, on the territory of which monuments of famous thinkers, poets and writers of friendly countries will be erected, including a monument to the Tajik medieval poet Saido Nasafi Mirobid .

This will become a symbol of eternal friendship between the Turkmen and Tajik peoples,” the message says.
