A package of 18 documents on cooperation in the agricultural sector between the structures of Turkmenistan, international organizations and foreign companies was signed today during the second day of the Exhibition in honor of the 25th anniversary of neutrality, held in Ashgabat and the theme of which was the agro-industrial complex.
Among the documents are Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, Energy and the State Committee for Water Management of the country with the representation of the UN Development Program in Turkmenistan.
Working plans for 2021 on joint projects in the field of support for agricultural producers and their adaptation to climate change, development of green cities, and use of renewable energy sources were also officially adopted.
A number of agreements have been concluded at the level of Government and Ministry of Agriculture with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Among other partners who also participated in the online signing ceremony were the Regional Environmental Center of Central Asia, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and foreign companies.
As part of the second day’s events, it was also held a video conference with members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse-Breeding.And in this area, there were documented intentions to develop business relations between Turkmen Atlary NU with the Horse-Breeding Association of China, the Jokey Turkish Club, the French Institute for Horse and Horse Riding.
