Rice products under the Ak Merjen brand, produced in Dashoguz Velayat, are gaining popularity among consumers in the region and other parts of the country, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The enterprise, located in the Koneurgench province and headed by entrepreneur Shukhrat Sabirov, specializes in processing rice grown by local agricultural producers. The facility uses modern equipment, allowing the grain to undergo several processing stages while preserving its natural properties and quality.
After cleaning, the rice undergoes grading to ensure uniform grain size and consistency. This allows the company to produce rice that meets high quality standards. The finished product is packed in sealed polyethylene bags suitable for transportation, storage and wholesale supplies.
Dashoguz Velayat is one of Turkmenistan’s leading agricultural regions, where rice cultivation is an important sector. More than 35,000 tonnes of rice are harvested annually in the region.
Modern production facilities have been established in the velayat to process the harvested crop into finished products. Alongside state-owned enterprises, private producers are making an increasingly significant contribution to supplying consumers with high-quality rice.
