Turkmen athlete Anamjan Rustamova won a silver medal at the Grand Prix weightlifting tournament in Doha, which is a qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris, the Turkmenportal correspondent reports.

She achieved this success in the weight category up to 87 kg, in which 8 weightlifters from 7 countries competed for awards. In total, Rustamova lifted 231 kg 105 kg in the snatch and 126 kg in the clean and jerk.

Armenian weightlifters won gold and bronze. Hripsime Hurshudyan celebrated success - 232 kg (106 + 126), and Tatev Hakobyan closed the top three - 230 (107 + 123).

Previously, representatives of Turkmenistan won three medals at the tournament. Shahzadbek Matyakubov (up to 96) won a gold medal, and Bunyad Rashidov (up to 67 kg) and Gaygysyz Torayev (up to 81 kg) were awarded bronze medals.

The International Weightlifting Federation Grand Prix in Doha will end on December 14. Today, in the weight category over 109 kg, Hojamuhammet Toychiyev will take to the stage at the Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence Doha.
