The Arkadag players held a closed sparring with the current Russian champion Zenit from St. Petersburg. The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi (UAE), where Vladimir Bayramov’s team continues preparations for the Turkmenistan Championship starting on March 4.
The match ended in a draw - 1:1. Altymurad Annadurdyev scored a goal for Arkadag. Wilson Isidore scored for Zenit.
Earlier, Arkadag won a strong-willed victory with a score of 2:1 over the Russian club Paris NN from Nizhny Novgorod. In the next match as part of the winter training camp in the UAE, Vladimir Bayramov’s team will play with the winner of the Super Cup of the Kyrgyz Republic “Abdysh-Atoy” from Kant.
Let us recall that the Arkadag football club, which forms the main backbone of the national team of Turkmenistan, was formed in April 2023 and already in the year of its debut in the national championship, it won the championship ahead of schedule and won the National Cup.
In the new season, Arkadag is preparing to defend the championship title.
