Beijing 2022 Global Culture Tour gets off

The Beijing 2022 Global Cultural Tour has kicked-off in the capital of the Celestial Empire. The culture tour aims to deepen international cooperation and enhance the global profile of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Culture tour-based activities will connect overseas China Cultural Centers and tourism offices to set up online projects. From this January to June of next year, activities will take place in 54 cities among 49 countries around the world, highlighting the latest news and unique spirit of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

In her speech, Han Zirong, Secretary General of Beijing 2022, pointed out the tour will be an innovative method to expand the influence of the Beijing Olympics.

It will be a one-year-to-go marker on February 4 before the start of the Olympic Games in Beijing. In this regard, the qualifying competitions in 11 out of the 15 Olympic disciplines, as well as international tournaments in 13 out of the 15 winter sports that will be included in the 2022 Olympics program have resumed.

Beijing is set to become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics. The IOC President Thomas Bach acknowledged that Beijing 2022 will leave a lasting sports legacy for China as well as for the world.
