President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected new buildings in the north of Ashgabat and the progress of work on the creation of a new administrative center in the Ahal region on Tuesday.
The high-class Karakum hotel with a business center under construction in the capital, the construction of which is nearing completion, and the new Lachin park near the Ashgabat international airport became the subject of close attention of the Turkmen leader.
The head of state gave orders to the relevant managers of these facilities, focusing on the ecological environment and landscaping.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the grandiose construction site of the new city, which will become the regional center of Akhal. These works were unfolded on the territory of the Geokdepe region.
The objects under construction, in addition to residential areas, include a Children’s Center, administrative buildings of various industry organizations, a library, a theater, a museum, etc. Social infrastructure is also represented by educational and health care institutions, sports facilities. A circus and an international horse breeding school will be built in the new city.
Since the capital of Akhal is being built in the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, special attention should be paid to “green” technologies, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov urged, while noting the importance of introducing digital and intelligent systems to create a “smart” city.
The experience of building this city, where more than 15 thousand specialists are now employed, can be used in another mega-project the construction of Ashgabat City, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
