On 13 February the boxing championship is scheduled to kick off in Ashgabat.
The tournament will be held in the Olympic village of Ashgabat for four days. About a hundred male and female athletes competing in ten weight categories and representing the capital and all velayats of the country are expected to take part in the championship.
The tournament’s festive opening ceremony will be held today.
Among distinguished visitors are professional boxing celebrities, including professional boxing celebrities WBA and IBF champion Denis Lebedev, the Olympic champion Oleg Saitov as well as a renowned athlete and actor, the 1995 world champion in mixed martial arts Oleg Taktarov, the state information agency TDH reports.
