Dashoguz’s Nurmuhammet Andalip Musical and Drama Theater completed the production of a new play, Yaşlyk hyjuwy (“The Enthusiasm of Youth”), based on a book by Hudayberdi Bashimov. The play directed by Azimberdi Kakayev is built around a narrative about love and family values; the importance of mutual understanding between generations and the parenting traditions.
Dashoguz’s Nurmuhammet Andalip Musical and Drama Theater is the lead theater of the country’s northern region. Last year it won the national creative contest for the awarding of Türkmeniň Altyn asyry prize.
Every new performance by this talented troupe becomes a notable event in the region’s cultural life.Prose of Urgench based on the book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan: the Heart of the Great Silk Road, gained considerable attention from theater lovers.
It was presented as part of the program of the National Festival of Dramatic Arts that took place in the summer of 2018, and was a great success with the audience.
Dashoguz province also has several people’s theaters that are successfully functioning today under district culture departments.
