Directions for the development of Turkmen-Japanese inter-parliamentary relations discussed

During the meeting, the Ambassador extended his warm congratulations to Matsushita Shimpei on his appointment as the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group.The parties discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements and issues concerning key areas, specifically the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to hold an inter-parliamentary forum in the "Central Asia + Japan" format in Ashgabat.

There was also an exchange of proposals on developing inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries, strengthening ties between political parties, and maintaining high-level relations in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
