Dursoltan Taganova released from a deportation centre

An activist Dursoltan Taganov reported that in the evening of 12 October, 2020 she was released from a deportation centre in Istanbul.

Earlier that day human rights defenders appealed to the Turkish authorities calling on them to release Taganova who had applied for asylum.

The activist was detained by the Turkish police on 19 July, 2020 when Turkmen nationals planned to hold a protest in Istanbul.
