In January-November 2023, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan increased the production of agricultural and food products by 9%, and industrial production by 9.4%.
This was announced during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev, TDH reports.
He also noted that according to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, in comparison with the same period last year, the growth rate of trade turnover was 100.7%, production production - 100.7%.
“Compared to the same period last year, the enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry produced 107.1% of their products, including cotton fabric, 104.5% of sewing and knitwear, and 100% of leather products. In 11 months, investments worth 444 million 974 thousand manats were disbursed,” Atdayev added.
It was also noted that the State Association “Turkmenhaly” for January-November of this year fulfilled the plan for the production of carpet products at the level of 103.9%. Since the beginning of the year, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange has held 275 trades, at which 27 thousand 762 contracts were registered.
The growth rate of work carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the period under review amounted to 109.9%. During January-November of this year, 26 exhibitions and 78 forums were held.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to increase the number of goods in demand by the population, giving instructions to keep under constant control the provision of an abundance of food and other various products in the country's markets and shopping centers, especially on holidays.
