Export Trades at Turkmen Commodity Exchange: ECO-93 Gasoline, LNG

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) registered deals on the purchase of ECO-93 gasoline and liquefied natural gas during Tuesday and Wednesday trades.

On Tuesday, the Afghan businesses made a deal for the procurement of 3 thousand tons of LNG for $1.4 million ($469 per ton). Additionally, the companies from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased 30 thousand tons of ECO-93 gasoline for $30.7 million ($1,025 per ton), the SCRMET said in its press release.

During the Wednesday trades, the Turkish company purchased a total of 20 thousand tons of ECO-93 gasoline. The total amount of transactions was $19.7 million ($989.5 per ton).

The eco-friendly gasoline ECO-93 is produced in Turkmenistan from natural gas at an Ahal Gas-to-Gasoline Plant (GTG), which launched in 2019.It is designed to annually process 1.785 billion cubic meters of natural gas and produce 600 thousand tons of ECO-93 gasoline that meets the EURO-5 standard, and 100 thousand tons of liquefied gas.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $83 million.
