Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Fund to Send Children to Avaza for Rehabilitation

The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship will send children operated on at its expense to the Avaza National Tourist Zone to continue their rehabilitation, Ogulmahri Geldiyeva, director of the Medical Information Center of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, reported in the article published in Türkmenistan newspaper on Monday.

The children who underwent the surgery will continue their rehabilitation treatment at the Dayanch Health and recreation center in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

According to the report, the first orthopedic surgery in Turkmenistan using the Pemberton method was successfully performed recently at the Ashgabat Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health Protection.

The surgery was performed on six children with congenital heart defects, two of them with congenital defects of the musculoskeletal apparatus, and one-a congenital defect of the central nervous system.

The surgeries were performed at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship helps children separated from their parents. The fund provides them with medical care, education, and support for their health treatment, even if they have guardians.
