Head of ARETI Igor Makarov presented new proposals for the development of the Turkmen Caspian shelf

Head of the ARETI International Group of Companies Igor Makarov presented new proposals for the development of the Turkmen Caspian shelf to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

According to the head of the IGC, the interest in this project, the details of which are not reported, is primarily due to the colossal potential of Turkmenistan and the favorable investment climate created here, the presence of an appropriate legal framework.

All this makes it possible to effectively invest large funds in the development of oil and gas fields, in the construction of infrastructure facilities.

Noting the holding's constructive approach to strengthening mutually beneficial business ties, the head of state stressed that the main requirement for contractor companies is the use of the latest technological solutions and advanced scientific developments in the implementation of any project, as well as compliance with environmental safety standards.

In this context, the leader of the nation gave the businessman a number of instructions related to the implementation of joint projects.During the meeting, the businessman reported on the ongoing work within the framework of the concluded contracts, including the promotion of projects, the implementation of which was entrusted to ARETI.

Recall that in March 2019, the head of ARETI signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of the “Uzynada” field on the Caspian shelf, the drilled well of which is the deepest in the Central Asian region, with the State Concern "Turkmenneft".

In the course of the conversation, special attention was also paid to such key aspects of the energy strategy of Turkmenistan as diversification of energy supplies to world markets, increasing the capacity of the mining and processing segment, and developing the gas and petrochemical industry.

At the end of the meeting, the head of ARETI, confirming the readiness of the holding to continue to take an active part in the large-scale transformation programs successfully implemented in the country in various fields, assured President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that the company will make every effort to successfully promote fruitful cooperation, will and continue to approach in the most responsible way the fulfillment of our partnership obligations.
