Head of Turkmenistan’s Economic Crime Enforcement Agency replaced

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov signed a decree to appoint Maksat Khudaikuliev Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Economic Crime Enforcement Agency.

Since the establishment of the agency on 1 June 2017 it has been headed by Mammetkhan Chakyev, who had previously held the position of the Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s State Customs Service.

Chakyev last made a progress report devoted to the fight against corruption at the Cabinet session held on 11 April and was subsequently appointed Deputy Prime Minister overseeing transport and communications pursuant to the Presidential decree.
