In the near future, the Balkan shipyard and Koryo Shipbuilding will begin construction of two dry cargo ships

In the near future, work will begin at the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant on the construction of two dry cargo ships, which will be carried out jointly with specialists from the Korean company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.

As reported on the website of the Turkmen Sea and River Routes Agency, the management of the plant and representatives of Koryo Shipbuilding, during recent negotiations, have already drawn up an action plan for the implementation of the joint construction agreement, which was concluded on September 13, 2023.

Training of plant specialists in the near future was also discussed. In addition, issues of obtaining certification for the Balkan plant according to international ISO standards were considered.

Representatives of the Koryo Shipbuilding company were familiarized with the living conditions that will be provided to Korean experts by the Balkan plant during the implementation of the project.

The parties noted that they will achieve positive results in the joint construction of ships, and shipbuilding work will begin in the near future.
