January-August: Trade Between Turkmenistan and Türkiye Exceeds $1.5 Billion

Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Türkiye reached $1.532 billion from January to August 2024, marking a 16 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to Ahmet Demirok, Türkiye's Ambassador to Turkmenistan.

The ambassador noted that the total trade volume for 2023 was $2.6 billion, as reported by Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on Tuesday.

“We believe that, under the leadership of our heads of state, we will soon reach our shared target of $5 billion in trade turnover,” stated Demirok.

He also highlighted that Turkish companies are currently undertaking 19 projects in Turkmenistan, amounting to $4.4 billion.
