JanuaryJune: Cashless Turnover in Turkmenistan Exceeds 9 Billion Manats

The total volume of cashless transactions using bank cards in Turkmenistan from January to June of the current year exceeded 9 billion 45 million 806 thousand manats, according to the electronic journal Bank habarlary published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

The total volume of cashless payments made through terminals during the reporting period reached 7billion 104 million 222 thousand 304 manats.

According to the Central Bank, payments made through the “E-commerce” system in January June exceeded 1 billion 512 million 61 thousand 279 manats, while transactions via the “Mobile Bank” system surpassed 50 million 134 thousand 264 manats.

The total amount of cashless payments conducted through ATMs exceeded 245 million 386 thousand 415 manats, while transactions via the “Internet Bank” system amounted to 4 million 471 thousand 245 manats.

The report also noted that more than 129 million 530 thousand 541 manats in cashless payments were processed through the Halkbank terminal system.
