Kazakh Businesses Procure Cotton Yarn Through Turkmen Commodity Exchange

The businesses from Kazakhstan procured more than 35 thousand kilograms of different types of cotton yarn during Monday trades at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Cotton yarn of the first grade, produced by the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, was purchased for a total of $87.1 thousand. Another Kazakh business purchased cardan cotton yarn for $29 thousand, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $83 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
