Monday Trades at Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Base Oil, Cotton Yarn

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered deals on the procurement of different types of cotton yarn, base oil and handmade carpets.

The Turkish company purchased 269.5 thousand kilograms of different types of cotton yarn produced in the districts of Turkmengala and Sakarchage, as well as in the city of Dashoguz. The total amount of transactions amounted to $736.4 thousand, the SCRMET said in its press release.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased 2,000 tons of SN-180 base oil of the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries for a total of 7.2 million manats. Local businesses also procured Turkmen handmade carpets worth more than 45.3 thousand manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $38.78 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
