Monday Trades at Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Polypropylene, Short Staple Cotton

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered deals worth more than 10 million manats for the procurement of polypropylene and short-staple cotton.

Local businesses purchased 100 tons of TPPZ 30 G polypropylene for a total of 2.6 million manats (more than 26 thousand manats per ton), the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

Another Turkmen business purchased over 430 tons of different types of short staple cotton. The total amount of the deal exceeded 7.4 million manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the SCRMET amounted to more than $2.36 million. The Afghan businesses liquefied gas produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the companies from Turkey and Serbia purchased cotton yarn and dry extract of licorice root.
