President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on Thursday, the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects and strengthening bilateral relations.
The Turkmen President said he would consider opening the Turkmen embassy in Israel.
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen arrived in Ashgabat on Wednesday with a visit. During his visit, the Minister will open the Israeli embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and hold a series of meetings with government officials.
