Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen arrived in Ashgabat on Wednesday, the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced on Twitter.
During his visit, the Minister will open the Israeli embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and hold a series of meetings with government officials.
According to the twit, the Israeli foreign minister will be received by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
On March 28 President Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Israeli Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ismail Haldi.
