Foreign Minister of Israel to Visit Turkmenistan

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen plans to visit Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on April 20, 2023, Trend News Agency reported on Monday with reference to the Israeli media.

According to the report, the aim of the visit is the opening of the Israeli Embassy in Turkmenistan.

Minister Cohen announced in a Twitter post in the beginning of March that Israel was opening a permanent mission in Turkmenistan. He also added that the relations between the two countries are important and strategic, and this step will further strengthen these relations and lead to the expansion of cooperation.

On March 28, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Turkmenistan Ismail Haldi.
