Putin awards order to Berdymukhammedov

On 29 June Russia’s President Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov. The relevant decree was published on the official website of legal information.

“In recognition of the substantial personal contribution in strengthening relationship of strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan as well as ensuring stability and security in Central Asia region I hereby order to award the Order of Alexander Nevsky to Gurbanguly M.

Berdymukhammedov”, the documents runs.

On 29 June the Turkmen President is turning 60.

The Order of Alexander Nevsky has also been awarded to Presidents of Belarus, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
