Russia is interested in active cooperation with Turkmenistan in the energy sector

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Shahym Abdrahmanov held a business meeting with Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Novak, who arrived in Ashgabat as a member of the Representative Russian delegation. This was reported by the website of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The parties discussed interaction of Russian and Turkmenistan in the oil and gas field, electrical power industry, renewable energy sources and peaceful atom.Russian companies offer their services in the field of modernization of electric power system of Turkmenistan with the attracting domestic contractors on equipment delivery.

Oil companies are ready to take part in joint projects on development of deposits in Turkmenistan.

At the meeting also were discussed interaction in the field of oil and gas supply, building of gas infrastructure, preservation of environmental safety in the Caspian Sea.
