Russian Companies Ready to Launch New Investment Projects in Turkmenistan

Russian companies are prepared to implement new investment projects in the Turkmen market, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday at an international forum marking the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality in Ashgabat, according to the Kremlin press service.

Putin noted that trade between the two countries increased by 35% in the first ten months of 2025, significantly surpassing the figures for the entire previous year.

He highlighted strengthened cooperation in energy, transport and other sectors, as well as active participation by Russia and Turkmenistan in major multilateral economic initiatives, including projects in the Caspian region and Central Asia.

Construction of the NorthSouth transport corridor is underway, bilateral interregional contacts are gradually expanding, and exchanges in cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres are growing.

The Turkmen initiative to prepare the Ashgabat Declaration was also emphasized, with the Russian side expressing full support for the document.

In conclusion, Putin expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and all Turkmen partners for their hospitality, congratulating forum participants on the International Day of Neutrality and Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Day.
