Second shipment of the Russian coronavirus vaccine to Iran

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali announced that the second shipment of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V will be delivered to Tehran.

According to him, “according to the schedule, the third shipment is planned for February 18, and the next shipments will be carried out according to the same procedure every two weeks until two million full doses are delivered”.

The Center for Infectious Disease Control of the Iranian Ministry of Health also informed on details of the coronavirus vaccination program. According to the program, about 60 million people will be vaccinated during the current and next years, with 210000 people being vaccinated every day.

Accordingly, at least 70% of the population will be vaccinated.
