The international coalition Sports for development was created

Under the tagline, “More sport, more impact” the Sport for Development Coalition was created to unite financing of global development and international sports movement.

Its purpose use of force of sports for maintenance of universal stability to show that physical activity and sports can unite the most different parties and provide a basis for actions in uncountable areas.

So, now it unites following permanent members: the French Development Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), GIZ, and Association of National Development Finance Institutions in Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), IOC, International Paralympic Committee, and UNESCO.

It is very important initiative in the sports world, especially in the pandemic. Sports not only will help to restore health, but also will promote construction of solid communities by distribution of such values as discipline, respect, fair game.

The mission of the International Olympic committee is to make the world better by means of sports. Therefore we support this initiative, the president the IOC Thomas Bach told.

The United Nations recognised sports as “an important tool for achievement of the purposes of the United Nations in the field of sustainable development. In the near future members of the coalition will create a working group which will make a program and a plan of action.
