The Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin met with the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Guyc Garayev. As the official website of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation reports, the parties have discussed prospective areas of cooperation.
The meeting, which was held in the Executive Committee of the city, also was attended by Vice Mayor of Kazan Evgeniya Lodvigova.
Special attention during the meeting the parties paid to cooperation between the municipalities of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan. In this regard, along with the intensification of interaction between the hakimliks of Ashgabat and the Mayor’s Office of Kazan, the parties underlined the importance of establishing twin-city relations between other cities as well.
The Consul General of Turkmenistan familiarized the authorities of the Kazan Mayor’s office with the new administrative center of the Ahal veleyat the city of Arkadag, as well as the intentions of the Turkmen side to adopt all necessary measures for integration of this city into the global urban environment.
Guych Garayev invited Ilsur Metshin to invite Turkmenistan, including the city of Arkadag on an official visit.
Let’s remind Guych Garayev assumed the position the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan in October 2022. Earlier, for about two years, he was the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan.
