The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is accepted in Inter-Parliamentarian Union

At the session of the Government on October 19, Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdiyeva informed on the outcomes of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmen parliamentarians to Sankt-Petersburg for participation in the 137th Assembly of Inter-Parliamentarian Union.

The Head of National Parliament informed that during the forum, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan has received the membership of Inter-Parliamentarian Union, which is the oldest international parliamentary structure that unites the representatives of 173 countries and 11 Inter-Parliamentarian organizations.

Entering of Turkmenistan to the composition of Inter-Parliamentarian Union is important and responsible achievement that would give new impulse to activation of positive dialog with parliamentarians of the countries of the world and male new opportunities for study of the best practices in law making sphere, the Head of the State highlighted.
