For 7 months of this year, the number of Turkmen tourists in Azerbaijan increased by 3.8 times compared to the corresponding period last year, Report.az reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
Tourists from Turkmenistan accounted for 1.2% of the total number of foreigners visiting Azerbaijan. The leader was the Russian Federation.
In January-July, 1 143 600 foreigners and stateless persons from 183 countries visited Azerbaijan, the source said.
