Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan Export 2.9 Million Tons of Oil Through Azerbaijan

The total volume of oil transit from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan through terminals of Azerbaijan in January-July this year amounted to 2.9 million metric tons, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reported on Thursday.

Last year this indicator amounted to 2.6 million tons. The Central Asian oil was transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline running through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

The total volume of Azerbaijan's oil exports in January-July 2023 amounted to 23.1 million tons, of which 76.3% fell on BTC.

In January-April this year, Azerbaijan imported more than 398.872 million cubic meters of Turkmen gas.
