Arriving on the eve of a working visit to Lebap province, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held an extended enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers at the Ruhiyet Palace, where some issues of state life were discussed.

Preparations are underway for the election of members of the People's Council of the National Council of Turkmenistan, a number of normative legal acts and provisions arising from the Electoral Code and related to the organization of this campaign.

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov focused on the need for the head of the national parliament to continue his legislative work strictly in line with the priorities of state development at the present stage, as well as universally recognized norms of international law.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the results of the Turkmen delegation's official visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on January 8-9, 2021, which was to be discussed.

A number of constructive talks were held in Kabul with high-ranking representatives of the Afghan government. The draft resolution “On approval of volumes of oil products for domestic consumers of Turkmenistan for 2021” was submitted for consideration by the President.

President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov noted the importance of the planned increase in oil and natural gas production and processing, the production of various petrochemical products, and the expansion of its range.

The Head of State ordered to intensify the work on the implementation of modern resource-saving technologies in the industry, to keep under constant control the implementation of large infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening the export potential of energy enterprises.

Having signed the above-mentioned Resolution, the President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure the proper implementation of his provisions.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdylyev reported on the state of affairs in the spheres of interest, in particular, the work being carried out to expand and modernize the infrastructure of the electric power and chemical industry.

It was stressed that the commissioning of a new 500 kV power line from the Kerkinskaya power plant would significantly increase the volume of electricity supplies from Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister also briefed on the steps being taken to establish new types of chemical products for agricultural purposes.

It is reported that on the basis of the Turkmenabat chemical plant named after S.A. Niyazov, using modern innovative technologies and specialized equipment, it is planned to set up a production of fine-grained sulfur with an annual capacity of at least 20 thousand tons.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov stressed the importance of steadily increasing the volume and assortment of chemical products produced in the country, which is in high demand both in the domestic and foreign markets.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to work out in detail the issues of technical re-equipment of the enterprises of the domestic chemical industry and the establishment of the production of new types of products on the basis of the richest local resources.

Speaking about the commissioning of the power line, which will bring light and heat to the homes of the Afghan people and ensure reliable energy supply to important industrial and social facilities, the leader stressed that Turkmenistan would continue to take concrete steps to take concrete steps.

Touching upon the privatization of the subordinate transport sector, the Turkmen leader stressed that the economic effect of privatization of state property should contribute to the further advancement of progress in the country.

Noting the importance of clear implementation of the priority tasks in this direction, the leader of the nation instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to make every effort to implement the planned plans.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Gilyjov reported on the work being carried out on the reconstruction of trade and industrial facilities in Lebap province.

The Deputy Prime Minister reported that the Lebap Provincial Association of Consumer Societies under the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations plans to build 10 modern stores.

In particular, in 2021 the reconstruction of the Central Market in Turkmenabat, as well as the modernization of large stores in the Chardjevsky, Dianevsky, Sayat and Farap districts and the creation of modern markets are planned.

In addition, on the basis of production facilities located in the industrial zone of the city of Turkmenabat, it is planned to create a factory for the production of pasta, as well as a plant for the preservation of vegetables and fruits.

It is expected that new jobs will be created with the entry of these objects.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted that the trade sector was one of the leading sectors demonstrating the leading positions and achievements of the national economy in the context of transition to market relations.

In this context, the main tasks are to increase the volume of trade turnover and saturation of the domestic market with products, as well as increase the production of export-oriented goods.

As it was noted, a number of events are planned for the forthcoming 2024 anniversary of the outstanding classics of Turkmen literature.In particular, Mahtumkuli Fragi, who has entered the golden treasure of all mankind, intends to create a special dedicated Internet portal dedicated to his life, for the purpose of deep study and wide popularization in the world of the rich literary heritage of the world.

It should be noted that in recent years the Mahtumkuli poetic collections have been translated into many languages of the world, including Turkish, Russian, English, Azerbaijani, Arabic, Armenian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Tajik, Georgian, Ukrainian, and others.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that for the first time, it is also planned to create the “Mahtumkuli Fragi Encyclopedia”, which includes all information related to the poet, through modern digital technologies; to prepare in digital and printed format “Diwan (collection) Mahtumkuli Fragi”; to translate the poems of the Turkmen poet into different languages of the world and to carry out their solemn presentations, book exhibitions, creative meetings, to prepare research works.

In collaboration with international organizations it is planned to study and popularize the literary heritage of the poet-philosopher at the world level. To this end, an International Scientific Conference is planned to be held in Ashgabat in 2024.

The Deputy Prime Minister addressed the Head of State on the drafting of the relevant Resolution on International Celebration of the upcoming 300th anniversary of the birth of the philosopher-poet Mahtumkuli Fragi.

After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov stressed the importance of the work being done on a thorough study of the millennial cultural heritage of the ancestors, whose pearl is rightfully the work of a world-renowned genius poet, thinker, and thinker.

Noting the importance of the upcoming events, the leader of the nation instructed to set up an organizing committee to prepare for the celebration of a significant date in order to hold all the planned celebrations at a high level.

The Head of State noted the importance of the work currently underway in the country's fields laying the groundwork for future rich crops of wheat, cotton and other agricultural crops, and ordered to ensure their full compliance with agro-technical requirements.

The Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to further develop the livestock industry, increase production and expand the range of agricultural products in the country.
