The news outlet gazeta.uz reports that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a visit to Turkmenistan to participate in the opening ceremony for the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
In the course of the visit the President of Uzbekistan is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries.
According to the media outlet, Uzbekistan will be represented by 189 athletes, who will perform in such sports as track and field, weight-lifting, wrestling (free-style, Greco-Roman and female wrestling), tae kwon do, track cycling, horseracing, chess, swimming, tennis, futsal, basketball (3×3), kurash, belbogli kurash, Turkmen kurash, dance sport, kickboxing, Muay Thai, jujitsu, sambo and bowling.
Let us recall that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev had previously announced his visit to Turkmenistan.
“The President (Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov) invited me for the Games opening.He attended the opening of EXPO-2017, now it is my turn to pay a reciprocal visit”,— the news outlet dknews.kz quotes the head of Kazakhstan.
