President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the New Year's celebrations on the square of the “Alem” cultural and entertainment center near the main Christmas tree of Ashgabat, reports the IIC.
The atmosphere of a children's fairy tale reigned in the square, where a real winter holiday unfolded, despite the above-zero temperatures in the Turkmen capital, the publication writes.
Young talents staged a colorful performance on the square, trying to stand out with bright costumes and memorable numbers.
At the center of the events was the main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan, 44 meters high - the tallest in Central Asia. At the request of the young guests of the holiday, a group photo was taken of the President of Turkmenistan with children at the foot of the New Year tree.
