During the visiting meeting of the Security Council held on 1 August President of Turkmenistan G. Berdymukhammedov was briefed by Prosecutor General B. Atdaev who made a progress report on the performance of the prosecutor’s office.
The President highlighted that “the prosecutor’s investigations in various sectors of the economy need to be carried out and gave some assignments to the Prosecutor General”, the state information agency TDH reports.
Let us recall that the President recently criticized heads of all velayats for “inadequately low output” in agriculture and demanded that the reasons hampering the development of agriculture be identified and eliminated.
It should be mentioned that the terminology of the Soviet Union is still being used in Turkmenistan. Pursuant to it, the economic sectors are made up of industry, agriculture, transportation and communications, construction, trade and catering, education, culture, art and others.
